CONCIOUS CONNECTED BREATHWORK

Conscious Connected Breathwork (CCB) is a profound method of breathwork to release trapped emotions that lay dormant in the body, offering a potent opportunity for self-discovery and the healing of old wounds. 

Our breath mirrors the infinite cycle of nature - ever evolving and changing to meet our changing rhythms. It is one of the only processes in the body that we can do both consciously and unconsciously; when we decide to connect to it consciously, we can tap into our innate intuition, our purpose, our creative self, and our inherent being - the one that resides beneath the conditioning, self-imposed narratives and constriction. It has the power to open up the heart through healing wounds at a physical and energetic level and it gives us the opportunity to clear the body of stagnant energy to move through anxiety, trauma, emotional blocks, depression all while helping to facilitate a feeling of incomparable joy and love.

By entering an altered state of consciousness through the conscious connected breath, we allow the mind to relax its grip and soften into the wisdom of the body. This is where the greatest teaching lies; within the life-force energy of the breath and within the body.

WHY AND HOW?

Day to day we experience stress, emotions and sometimes trauma and up until recently, it wasn’t recognised that all of this could be held indefinitely in the body’s tissue, fascia, organs and muscles. Using the breath, we can consciously release the tension; this is the process of de-armouring, which is where we literally start to chip away at the armour created in and around our body. Clients often describe this session as a “re-set”.

These sessions use a breath technique where the inhale and exhale are joined without pauses. This creates a gentle, infinite cycle of breath, in and out of the nose, or in and out of the mouth.

When we breathe this way for a while, we start to dip into an altered state of consciousness where our prefrontal cortex (our analytical brain) goes predominantly offline. This is where the monkey mind, the constant chattering, starts to drift away as our brainwaves slow down. Neurotransmitters, including dopamine and endorphins, are released and at this point, deep relaxation and access to our subconscious programming and patterns are possible.

This is often a beautiful experience as we can access lost and forgotten aspects of the self, as well as start to release energy that has been held against our knowing in the body. This really is then the beginning of a truly transformative journey as when free from physical and emotional tension, we begin to connect to our true potential.

THE SESSION:

The session will be around 1.5 hours which will include plenty of time for a consultation at the beginning and to integrate the experience at the end. The breathwork itself will last around 45 minutes which will be supported by music to guide the momentum of the journey. I will be guiding with my voice throughout but will allow spaciousness so that you can explore your inner realms as you start to dip into your unconscious.

If you would like to try one session, then there will already be significant benefits and realisations. I would generally recommend 2-3 sessions within a month or longer term exploration of this breath if you are looking to re-write your narrative. When we breathe long term, you will no doubt experience life-changing perspectives.
